The 50-gram Diagnostic Glucose Beverage is used in the 1-hour Glucose Load Test. This product is intended for use in Diabetes Mellitus and Gestational Diabetes Mellitus screening.
Follow your current Glucose Load Test protocol. Patients should consume the entire 50-gram beverage within 5 minutes (best served cold). A plasma glucose measurement is then obtained at 1-hour. For additional testing guidance, please refer to your laboratory, ACOG Recommendations, or American Diabetes Association recommendations.
