The 100-gram Diagnostic Glucose Beverage is used in the 3-hour Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT). This product is intended to for use in Diabetes Mellitus and Gestational Diabetes Mellitus screening.
Follow your current Glucose Load Test protocol.After a fasting plasma glucose measurement is performed,Patients should consume the entire 100-gram beverage within 5 minutes (best served cold). A plasma glucose measurement is then obtained at 1-hour, 2-hour and 3-hour. For additional testing guidance, please refer to your laboratory, ACOG Recommendations or American Diabetes Association recommendations.
