It is recommended that you follow your provider’s current Oral Glucose Tolerance Test protocol. 

Per the American Diabetes Association, a 100-gram oral glucose tolerance test is to be administered while fasting with a baseline fasting blood glucose measurement. For an enjoyable patient experience, consume the beverage cold. Take care that you consume the entirety of the product within 5 minutes for accurate results.  Subsequent plasma glucose measurements will be taken at 1-hour, 2-hour and 3-hour. Please refer to your provider or laboratory for more information.
